HVIA strives to provide leadership and generate action on issues important to the Happy Valley community. During a typical year, the Association takes on a handful of formal and informal projects, often in partnership with the town, which promote improvement of various community services such as fire and police, and infrastructure such as roads, drains, pathways. Samples of current and past projects include the installation and maintenance of the Happy Valley sidewalk, gardening and maintenance of common areas, distribution of daffodil bulbs and bird and owl houses, and the annual Octoberfest meet and great.
The Association also advocates on behalf of the neighborhood with the state and local government and their various agencies. We believe Happy Valley is best served when government is aware of the concerns of its residents. On select issues, we strive to inform residents, catalyze action, and be one of many voices advocating for the Happy Valley community.
